As part of Longy School of Music's New Music Marathon, Lea was asked to sing the premiere of high-romantic, turn-of-the-century works by Ukrainian composer Stefania Turkewich. Turkewich is commonly regarded as Ukraine's first female composer. She was a revolutionary composer and teacher who was exiled by the Soviets during their occupation of Ukraine. She continued to compose and teach until her death.
